Accessing from within an organization

The Patient Assessment - 5 Level Triage Program is presented in Macromedia's Authorware format.

If you are having difficulty accessing the program from within an organization, e.g., hospital, office, etc., chances are you are behind a security firewall. If so, you may need permission from your IT department in order for the Authorware Player plugin to download.

Contact your company's IT department or Helpdesk and provide this number: 204.174.223.69. Ensure that you tell them that it is a Computer Based Learning Program.

Information in the 5 Level Triage Program is based on peer reviewed medical journals. We have selected only the best and most pertinent articles for our educational purposes and provide links to the articles throughout the program.

While the program is do-able without the journal articles, we recommend that you download the cited articles at the outset of the program for advanced understanding of the topics covered. A hyperlinked bibliography is provided for this purpose.

Browser issues

When the 5 Level Triage Assessment Program downloads, it should automatically install the Authorware plugin. If for some reason it does not, you can get the plugin FREE from Macromedia: Download page

Windows XP users:
If a new window does NOT pop-up, check the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Some Operating Systems, such as Windows XP, will not permit a link to open above the program, and instead will flash orange in the task bar at the bottom of the screen. Click the orange item to open the link.
